Terms of service

In brief

  • Upload only photos you are allowed to use, of people who agreed to be in the video.
  • Credits pay for videos, a failed render is never charged, and refunds follow the refund policy; prices are on the pricing page.
  • Every video is AI-generated: share it lawfully and never pass it off as real footage. Your data is covered by the privacy policy.

Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Wei Yang, who operates Rap Duo Video ("we", "us"), about your use of rapduovideo.com. By creating an account, uploading a photo or buying credits you accept them, together with the privacy policy and the refund policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.

The service

You upload face photos of two people, or one photo showing both, and choose a stage, settings and an optional topic. We write original lyrics and have AI models render a short music video in which the two people appear to rap them. The song is generated for you; it is not a copy of an existing track, and nobody's real voice is cloned.

Generation is automated and probabilistic. Two runs with the same photos come out differently, and a result can look less like the people in the photos than you hoped. Safety filters, ours and the model provider's, may decline photos, topics or finished videos without giving a detailed reason.

Your account

You sign in with email, Google or GitHub. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else used your account; you are responsible for what happens under it. Give us a working email address, because receipts and "your video is ready" notices go there. One person, one account: creating extra accounts to collect free previews or bonus credits is not allowed.

Photos and likeness

Before every video, the studio asks you to tick a box confirming that you have the right to use these photos and that the people shown agreed to appear in the video. Ticking it is a promise to us, and you are responsible if it is untrue. In particular:

  • Upload only photos you took yourself or are otherwise allowed to use, of people who said yes to this use, yourself included.
  • Photos of anyone who appears to be under 18 are rejected, and trying to get around that check ends your account.
  • No impersonation: do not use the service to pass a video off as a real person speaking or performing without that person's consent, including public figures.
  • You keep whatever rights you hold in your photos. You give us only the permission needed to store them, send them to our processors and turn them into your video.

If you appear in a video you never agreed to, email us and we will take down the video and its photos.

Credits and payment

Renders are paid for in credits. The pricing page lists the plans and packs, and the studio shows the exact cost of a video before you start it. Credits are taken when a render starts and given back automatically if it fails, so failed renders are never charged. Pack credits never expire. Plan credits are valid for the billing period they arrive in and do not roll over.

Payments are processed by Stripe in US dollars, plus any tax that applies. Plans renew automatically until you cancel. Credits have no cash value and cannot be sold or moved to another account, except through a gift link where we offer one. Refunds, including the 7-day window for unused purchases, follow the refund policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service, or the videos it makes, to:

  • create sexual or nude content, or anything involving minors;
  • harass, bully, threaten or demean anyone, or target people for who they are;
  • deceive people, for example fake endorsements, scams or political misinformation;
  • infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or right of publicity;
  • break the law, or probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the site and its models.

Roasts are welcome as long as the target is in on the joke. We may refuse, remove or stop any render that breaks these rules.

Your content and the generated videos

Every video made here is AI-generated, and we label it so. Once a video is unlocked you may download it and share it for any lawful purpose that respects these terms, but you must not present it as real footage or hide that it was made by AI. Locked results show a watermarked preview only. Because similar inputs can lead to similar outputs, other users may receive videos or lyrics that resemble yours. You give us a limited licence to store and process your topic, lyrics and videos to run the service; we do not use your videos in our marketing without asking you first.

Availability

We aim to keep the site running, but it depends on hosting, payment and AI providers we do not control. Renders can be slow, queued or paused, for example when a provider is down or our monthly capacity is used up, and features, models and prices may change. Planned changes that affect what you have paid for will be announced in advance.

Termination

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or files a chargeback. Sections that by their nature should survive the end of this agreement, such as liability and disputes over past payments, continue to apply.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a video will meet your expectations. Our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the consumer rights you have where you live.

These terms, and any dispute about them or the service, are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. If you use the service as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top shows the latest version; for a change that matters we notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
